Vivaldi has always positioned itself as a browser for discerning users who want to completely personalise their browsing experience.
It succeeded in gaining a foothold in the PC market with that goal in mind.
Yet up until now, Jon von Tetzchner, a co-founder of the browser startup and a former CEO of Opera, was absent from the mobile market.
That has changed with the introduction of Vivaldi for Android, which keeps the browser’s speed, feel, and appearance. Without getting bogged down in trying to port all of its numerous features to mobile, all of this.
One of Vivaldi’s USPs
The first feature of Vivaldi for Android that deserves attention is that it does not track you or your device.
According to the Vivaldi team, the application does not make use of Google’s built-in browser focus for the mobile operating system.
Overall, using a browser is a rather simple process.
Backward, forward, the tab switcher, and URL/search are all standard UI elements that the Vivaldi team has positioned towards the bottom.
The menu and address bar at the top of the screen are still functional.
But, customers want a browser that can be operated mostly with one hand in this era of extremely large screens.
Vivaldi covers all the bases in terms of features, including speed dials and bookmarks.
On mobile, some sophisticated tab management functions are typically unavailable.
Also, it has a screenshot tool that enables you to either take a screenshot of the full page or only the viewable portion, as well as the option to duplicate tabs.
Use Vivaldi’s address bar shortcuts if you frequently use different search engines.
There is also a reader view in addition to practically everything else that a modern mobile browser should have.
The tracking protection is one area from Vivaldi that may use a little more improvement, both on desktop and mobile.
In its current state, Vivaldi does not yet provide any tracking protection by default.
On the desktop, where an extension can be installed, this is not a big issue, but the corporation can take a few extra steps with mobile.
